Savvy Stop: Amor y Tacos in Cerritos
A colorful lunch spot with quick service and big flavor
If you’re looking for a quick, flavorful lunch spot in Cerritos that’s mom- and baby-friendly, Amor y Tacos is worth a visit. I stopped by recently with my mom and baby daughter, and it was my second time there. Last time came with my husband while pregnant with our daughter.
What to Expect
Parking can be a little tricky. The front lot is small, so you might need to loop around or park farther by the grocery store parking. That said, once you’re inside, it’s a fun, vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant is filled with colorful murals, and the energy feels upbeat and casual.
We went around lunchtime, and while it was a bit warm inside, it wasn’t uncomfortable. Thankfully, service was really fast. We ordered a five-taco plate with rice and beans, and our food was on the table in under five minutes. I know tacos are quick to prepare, but I was impressed.
What We Ate

We shared everything family-style, and it was plenty for the three of us. The tacos were flavorful, and the rice and beans made it a filling meal. This is a great spot for a casual lunch, especially if you’re on a time crunch.
