When I used to drive to work, stuck in traffic, Freegal was one of my go-to apps.
You can download songs for free and listen to them without WiFi.
The best part? You do not have to worry about returning anything. Everything auto returns, and if you did not like the song, no money is lost.
How to Access Freegal
- You will need a library card.
- Most libraries offer access to Freegal. For example I use Orange County Public Libraries and Los Angeles County Library.
- Have your library card number and PIN ready. If you do not know your PIN, call your local branch or stop by in person.
- Download Freegal from the App Store or Google Pay. There is also a website version you can use on your phone or computer.
- After downloading the app, select your library and enter your card number and PIN.
- You can also find direct links to Freegal on your library website. I will include links to my libraries at the end of the post.
- Once you log in, you will have access to thousands of songs.
